Manually Changing Person Numbers after Payroll Integration

Hi Guys,

I'm wondering if there are any implications if we load new hires with a dummy person number in HCM and then after the payroll integration is up and running manually change the person number to match the employee number that is recorded in our payroll system.

Right now the process is:

HR receive new starter paperwork > send it to Payroll > Payroll set up employee in the payroll system > HR wait for employee number and then load into HCM.

I've read we can manually change the person number, but does this effect future use of HCM & the payroll system?

Howdy, Stranger!
