How often should the scheduled process "Autoprovision Roles for All Users" be scheduled???

edited Jun 8, 2023 3:11PM in Human Capital Management 14 comments

Summary:

Hi, I see SO much conflicting information about how often the scheduled process "Autoprovision Roles for All Users" should be scheduled.

We have autoprovisioning rules for roles using criteria like Responsibility Type to drive autoprovisioning (and deprovisioning), so the only way to autoprovision (and deprovision) security roles is via running the scheduled process "Autoprovision Roles for All Users."

Can someone point me to consistent documentation or provide the final answer? My concern is if we are scheduling it on a daily basis - then won't this cause performance issues in the system? The process takes quite a bit of time to complete - approximately 6 hours.

Howdy, Stranger!
