Is it possible to remove the Item Description from a dropdown list in performance evaluation?

Summary: We are trying to figure out how to remove the column "Description" from a dropdown list when a user adds a competency in a performance evaluation.

Content: By using Page Composer, when we tried to remove the Description column from Skills and Qualifications page, we managed to do this by changing the expression into the "Filter attributes" box, from "Name ItemDescription" to just "Name", and this worked; in fact, as you can see into the second picture, there is no Description column in Certifications as well as in Membership.

When we do the same into the add competencies section (Performance evaluation), this doesn't work, as you can see from the last two pictures.
