Change Salary date and assignment date needs to be in Sync

Summary:

when salary change is done as part of change salary action, the assignment record is not getting updated with the 'Change Salary' action as of salary change date

when the salary is changed through Change Salary action, the salary is getting updated to new salary as of update date with action as 'Change Salary'. but the assignment record (Manage Employment) is not getting updated with this new action. Is there a way to achieve this so that both Change Salary and Manage Employment page is in sync with respect to Dates and action. Any help on this would be much appreciated.
