Create Sequence for Individual Compensation Plan

We have a requirement in our individual compensation plan to have sequential numbering generated while submitting , is there any way to create a sequence and used it as element input value default value

the element that is linked to the compensation plan already has an input value (Request Number) which we need to fetch the sequence number or max number for pending and approved ICP submitted
