How to exclude employees receiving awards in the following compensation cycle

we are configuring compensation plan with monthly cycles (i.e. A-B-C-D-E)

If the employee receives salary increase in cycle A, is it possible to avoid the same employee appears in cycle B and in the following ones?

If so, how can we do it?
