How to process Payslip Messages for Retroactive Payroll elements?

When we require to display messages in payslip for hour and rate based earnings elements,we generally create an information element and input values and pass the hours and rates from earnings elements to this info element and then archive it.

Now,when it comes to Retroactive elements,we cannot use SPRs as no formula is attached be default in sprs for retro elements.So how to achieve the same requirement for retroactive elements?
