what is the purpose and usage of "Manage Maintenance Descriptive Flexfields" setup under Maintenance

Summary:

we have DFF setup available in Manufacturing (Manage work setup descriptive flexfields, manage work execution descriptive flexfields) and Maintenance module Manage Maintenance Descriptive Flexfields.

I understand from Oracle support that the DFF configuration in manufacturing (Manage work setup descriptive flexfields, manage work execution descriptive flexfields) will be used to reflect in respective pages Maintenance module like work definition & work order page.

Hence i would like to understand what is the purpose and usage of "Manage Maintenance Descriptive Flexfields" setup under Maintenance work function.
