I need to create a new target application and import format for a flat file load. I have only done this once before, and it took a very long time to get it to work. I've been looking for detailed documentation to help me understand this process better. However, I haven't found anything that gives good examples or explains what is really needed.

For example, when creating the target application, do I need to include all dimensions? What if it is not in the cube I am loading? What if it is not in the file? Does the UD numbers matter or can you use different UD numbers in different target applications? (Can Location be UD1 on one target app and UD3 in another?)
