Implementing Maintenance Cloud with EBS SCM Modules - Impacts and Feasibility

Summary:

One of our customer would like to understand the impact/feasibility of Implementing Maintenance Cloud with EBS SCM Modules .

Version (include the version you are using, if applicable):

They are currently on EBS Release for Financials and SCM (Inventory, Procurement ). They are evaluating whether to implement EAM (EBS) or Maintenance Cloud (SaaS).

We are of the opinion, Maintenance Cloud with EBS (SCM & FIN) is not a desired solution, since this would require duplication of module configurations (INV, PO, GL etc) in both EBS and Cloud, in addition there would be multiple integrations to sync up Master and transactional data. We have recommended them to implement EAM (EBS) for Asset Management, since they are on EBS for SCM and FIN.
