Ability to make the Serial number in the Install Base asset screen as read only based on conditions

Ability to make the Serial number in the Install Base asset screen as read only based on the certain user role and conditions and make it accessible for certain users based on the role access

Content (required):

We have a business requirement to be able to change the Serial number on the existing Install base asset for certain set of users in the hierarchy . Rest of the users having the access to the IB should not be able to update the serial number . We need to bring that control based on the users and the duties being performed .Seems currently this functionality is not supported .
