How to edit the fields when the Contract status is in Pending Signature

Summary:

When a particular contract is in 'Pending signature' status all the fields are freeze(standard behavior) but we need one field which must be editable/updatable for our requirement, can we change the standard behavior and make the standard field free text using application/page composer?
