Need to default People Group value in job offer creation page under Assignment Info

Summary:

we have a requirement to default People Group value in job offer creation page under Assignment Info based on the recruiting type selected in the requisition. We created the use case in auto complete program application but that was rejected stating "people group not supported". Kindly share the inputs if someone has worked on this kind of requirement defaulting the People Group and achieving in anyway.
