How to find Automatic Bug Reporting Tool(ABRT) package in Oracle Linux 9

 

Solution

The Automatic Bug Reporting Tool (ABRT) is a Redhat tool/feature used for detecting and reporting application crashes. As per RedHat this tool is not available in RHEL 9, therefore not available on Oracle Linux 9.


As an alternative, application coredumps can be collected using systemd coredumpctl functionality. The coredumpctl is part of systemd it should be present already on oracle Linux 9 systems.
