Changing agent usernames in security console

An agent username gets created automatically in the defined generation rule.

Oracle Fusion Recruiting Cloud: Agent Unable to See Requisition under Agency Hiring (Doc ID 2718579.1)

According to the above KM doc, if we change this auto created username of the agent in the security console, then the agent is unable to see requisitions and hence is unable to submit any candidates. However, when we tried to change the username of an agent in security console and then invited them in a requisition, they were still able to see the requisition and submit a candidate against that requisition. Is this an enhancement or is this an unexpected behaviour?
