Stop journal approval, if period is close.

Summary:

We are live since last 4 years and implemented Journals approval. Sometime accountant create journals and forward for approval after period has been closed. As manager is not aware of period close, they approve the entry. This entry did not get post due to period close and no one knows that.


We would like to stop the approval if period is close. Please let me know any out-of-box option or features which we can use to stop approving journals .
