SMS - Sprint splitting messages?

Anyone using SMS with Responsys experience this? When messages are sent through Sprint, I have reports that it is breaking the message up across multiple messages. When the same message is reviewed through Verizon it is one message, or one message with the URL block split out. Is there a reason for the behavior on Sprint? I confirmed that my campaign is under 160 characters and the setting was checked to not split messages. Thanks in advance for your responses!
