Content Library file size

Hi,

I am trying to upload  image files in content library .

As per the Responsys Help,  file sizes should not exceeds 1000 KB  but when I try to upload any images  in the range of 200 KB to 300 KB I get  error "file exceeds maximum size"

can some one share details about the file size.
