Can we utilize both RPL/BIF while transitioning to RPL?

I want to work on transitioning some of our emails to RPL/Message Designer and unlocking the capabilities of A/B and MV testing.

If/when this feature is enabled, will we be able to continue building Built-in Function-based campaigns while standing up new RPL campaigns and training team members, or does this change mean we are immediately restricted to ONLY using RPL once enabled?
