Eloqua Shared List and Deleted Contacts

We want to use shared lists in Eloqua as a way to keep the email lists we send to regularly. We also at times need to be able to delete people from our Eloqua instance. Has anyone found a way to do this other than storing shared list membership in a CDO? We have a lot of users who are leveraging shared lists and it would be a nightmare to try to store that all on the CDO. THANKS!!
