Implementing Double Opt In

We just implemented Double Opt-In in Eloqua, so I thought I would share some details about our implementation.

Problem:

• Need to implement a confirmed opt-in on a per country basis. It needs to be used across the entire Eloqua instance on every campaign and has minimal risk. It needs to be built in a fashion that it is easy to add additional countries when needed.

Solution Summary:

• If user consented to marketing, they chose a country outlined as needing double opt in, and they are not double opt-in already, then send them to a campaign to fire off an email to hopefully capture it via a blind form submit.
