Insight (OBI) Tips | Changing Date Format

If you’ve wanted to change the date format in a report you’ll notice that it requires you to know how to write the timestamp format, so it becomes a little challenging to know how to customize the field to the desired format.

Let’s say, you want to create a report that shows your contact growth; pulling in Contact Created Date/Time and Total Contacts but you want to remove the hours and simplify the date format.

Try the following:

1. In your analysis editor select the gear icon and Column Properties
2. Select the Data Format tab
3. Select Override Default Data Format
