Roll up Metrics by Send Date and Email in Insights

I am trying to create a report in Insights that will roll up various metrics by Email Send Date.

I have used the CAST function to hide the timestamp value in the Email Send Date, leaving only mm/dd/yyyy (CAST("Email Send Date Attributes"."Email Send Date" as date)).

Even with the timestamp removed, the output in the table is sectioned out by the full Email Send Date value.

When I create a pivot table from these results, the data doesn't roll up, it only shows me the metrics for the most recent Email Send Date by timestamp, not the total metrics for the date.
