When will Eloqua allow .webp images to be uploaded?

Adobe Photoshop allows me to create artwork in the Google .webp format, it's great for the website and reduces file sizes, but maintains image quality.

However, as far as I'm aware, I can't use .webp formatted images in Eloqua. Is this something that's on the roadmap?

Or perhaps someone has an alternative solution?
