Mail merge link syntax

Hi,

I've noticed a slight change in link syntax recently and was hoping if anybody can confirm.

1) Is one better to use one than the other
2) Is there any real difference
3) Is this simply an Eloqua update and both formats are acceptable

Between the two options below. For context this is used for blind forms.

1) emailAddress=eloqua..type--emailfield..syntax--EmailAddress..innerText--EmailAddress..encodeFor--url

2) emailAddress=eloqua..type--emailfield..syntax--EmailAddress
