Email Address modified during TCC process

We are attempting to remove the Employee Number field within a candidate’s general profile however when running the TCC script to remove the employee number, the email address field is being altered. We wanted to see if anyone new of way that we can remove the data within the Employee Number field while keeping the Email Address field intact. The example below is what is occurring to the email address field after the script has been run. There seems to be no consistency in the results. The field can either update to null, be updated to an obfuscated email address
