Can deep links be configured to perform certain actions when clicked?

So, if there's a deep link embedded in an email notification for instance, can we configure them to perform certain actions when clicked? Like, if a user receives an email about a new lead that has been created, can we add a deep link action on the email which when clicked, will automatically assign the lead to that user?
