Creating Information Element for Salary Basis

Summary:

We have Created a Information Element for Salary Basis to store Salary Information for Hourly and Salaried Employees.

If we make a Element Entry for Hours x Rate Element, it's pick the Rate based on Salary attached to the employee through informational Element and processing the same in Payroll.

Is there a way that to ensure that system doesn't fetch the Rate for Hours x Rate Element calculation, when Informational Element is used for Salary Basis?
