Can we use REST API to transfer Payroll?

Summary: Currently we are end dating existing assigned payroll record and then entering new record with new payroll using REST API. This is causing issue while terminating employee. I have checked the documents and don't any option to payroll transfer. So would like to check if there is any way we can use REST API for payroll transfer?
