How to use auto and manual renewal feature with procurement contract with lines?

Summary:

Can we use auto renewal and manual renewal feature with the procurement contracts with lines? Requirement is to either auto renew or manually renew the contract without sending it out for the reapproval. Currently we proposed using the amendment option as a workaround, but system triggers reapproval and for amendment they have a specific approval route.
