Business event trigger issue

Unwanted business events are triggered from fusion

We have subscribed to sales order notification business event from oic to consume event only when fulfillment line is scheduled. to make sure we receive event only when line is scheduled we have placed xpath expression also in place in oic. but when the fulfillment line scheduled, along with scheduled event status we are receiving 7 extra event in oic which are failing at trigger. Can some one help me understand what is causing these calls to trigger.
