Importing high volume of Sales Orders using API

We are planning to use sales order import API /fscmRestApi/resources/, to import eComm orders average 3,300 order lines per hour and peak 8,000 order lines per hour (average 10 lines per order)

Want to know if there are any performance limitations in using the above API and appreciate if we get any other inputs.

Content (required):

Client uses eCommerce portal and another homegrown application for capturing B2C,B2B customer sales orders and the same needs to be imported to Oracle SaaS for pricing & inventory reservation and order fulfillment activities happens in external system in the PaaS.

For eComm orders, designed/required order cycle throughput time is 20 mins approx. i.e. from order to invoice.
