Confirm Receipt Notification Options

We have developed a custom BIP notification email for receiving in lieu of running Confirm Receipts. Our Procurement department prefers our custom email template but would also like users to have the option to receive from In-App notification. Can we disable email delivery for this task so that when we run Confirm Receipts it notifies users only via In-App worklist. I looked at the BPM task configuration for "ConfirmReceiptRequestForAction" but I could not find an option to choose the notification delivery channel.
