Form Formatting - Opening Columns Width

I have a form with accounts in the rows and years/month across the rows. I would like the column that displays the accounts to be wide enough upon opening that you can see the account names. I have tried setting the column width in the dimension setting, but that doesn't work. Any other suggestions?
