Approval Groups and Hierarchies

Summary:

Is it possible to assign approval groups to different entities within an approval unit?

For example, within the data source we have members that allow finance users to post adjustments (FinAdj) and different members for tax users to post adjustments (TaxAdj). Approval Groups have been set up so that these members can be approved separately.

Ideally we would like the FinAdj members to be approved by entity but the TaxAdj members to be approved only at the consolidated group level. Currently it seems I can either set up approvals using the same approval hierarchy for both approval groups.

For tax users this is not ideal as they have access to all entities and so see hundreds of approvals whereas they would like to be able to approve just at Group level.
