Is it possible to set up a Net-to-Gross Earnings Element to process and pay with other earnings?

Summary: I want the system to calculate a gross amount from a specified net amount, and I want the system to process it and pay it with other earnings. But when I select Process and Pay with Other Earnings when creating the Net-to-Gross Earnings Element, the "Calculate gross amount from specified net amount?" option disappears. And if I select Process and Pay with Other Earnings when generating the gross-up (after I've created the element as instructed by the Oracle documentation), it does not pay the specified net amount - it pays a larger and significantly different amount. So is it possible
