How to calculate YTD 401 eligible earnings, with "year" starting at element eff dt

edited Aug 24, 2023 11:28PM in Payroll and Global Payroll Interface (GPI) 1 comment

Hello,

There is a 6 month waiting period before an employee is eligible to receive 401a contributions. We have a fast formula that checks the YTD retirement eligible earnings to see that it is not over the comp limit (330,000 for 2023) .

However, this is looking at YTD , starting at 1/1/yyyy, or starting at earnings beginning at hire date/first pay date. It is not looking at YTD earnings with the "year" starting at the date the 401 element start date.

Does anyone know how to get the YTD balance , with a start of the "year" as the element start date?

Howdy, Stranger!
