Is it possible to recover the reserved funds against an approved spend authorization

Is it possible to recover the reserved funds against an approved spend authorization if the expense report total amount is less than the Authorized amount?

Content (required):

We have a situation like the Spend Authorization have been approved for $1200 but the actual expenses incurred is $900 is there any ways to recover the remaining $300 from the reserved fund. As it wont be needed anymore.
