How to remove space from the list

Summary:

We are storing a multichoice list value in a list and converting to string and creating these values as a record fro custom child object.

But now comparing lov values(values in list) with recordname only first record is taking in comaprision.

Remaining records in list is not comparing with the record name .This is due to space is coming in lov values.
