Am I able to use 'OR' in a formula to pull most recent answer of 2 different question codes?

Summary:

We recently unposted a req however still have active candidates on it. In the new posting, we replaced a prescreening question with a newly created question.

I need to pull information from both req's into a report and want a column to have the candidates most recent answer to one of the 2 question codes. (The question is basically the same, but there is one more choice of answer).

I want to pull in the answer from question code '2017-12-21a' OR '2022-04-29', whichever the candidate answered the most recently.

For now, I have added a separate column with the new question code being pulled in. I tried different ways of using an 'OR' statement to try to pull in the most recent of either question codes, without success and am looking for assistance with the formula.
