System fails to boot and displays the following messages on the console:

[  66.098910] systemd-journald[778]: Failed to open runtime journal: No space left on device
[  66.100551] systemd-journald[778]: Failed to open runtime journal: No space left on device
[  66.102199] systemd-journald[778]: Failed to open runtime journal: No space left on device
[  66.105015] systemd-journald[778]: Failed to open runtime journal: No space left on device
[  66.107956] systemd-journald[778]: Failed to open runtime journal: No space left on device
[  66.109646] systemd-journald[778]: Failed to open runtime journal: No space left on device

Cause

The error message is misleading in that it has been determined that there are no issues with storage space. The issue is caused by an incorrect number of “hugepages” configured.

Howdy, Stranger!
