Handling Non Shippable items with IB and RMCS processes

We have many non-shippable items like software and SaaS subscription items for which Installed Base assets expected and also RMCS revenue recognition expected for the same.

For both, Installed Base asset creation adn RMCS contracts are created only for shippable items when Shipment happens from Order management. What would be the stadnard way to handle these kind of items ? We would like to Book the order and see IB / RMCS created for these items.
