How do other companies handle Co-Op programs/Internships?

Exelon has relationships with various Colleges/Universities for our Co-Op program. This entails tracking candidates in the school's ATS (ex. handshake) and our own ATS (TA does double work).

It also requires candidates to apply multiple times to the same job (Handshake, Exelon ATS) (Poor candidate experience).

Is there a better way to streamline this process?
