Web Reports or Narrative reporting

Hello Community - we are currently on PBCS for budgeting and forecasting for P&L. Business are using custom report on excel which uses excel add in and get essbase values using hsgetvalue function. This excel report is heavily customised and makes around 500 hsgetvalue function calls to generate data and charts and prone to formatting errors and add in issues. So planning to replicate the same in web reports in planning or get a narrative reporting instance. Please suggest the best solution on reports for this customisation. Also could we use bursting operation to burst the report output to 500
