We are unable to figure out how system calculates Protected Pay Amount for California. Our calculation is : Minimum Wage x 48 hours. However, we are not able to match our calculation with what system is calculating.

For Bi-Weekly Payroll system calculated the following:

Gross Earnings 2151.88

Tax 420.28

Disposable Pay 1731.6

Protected Pay 1634.16

Garnishment 97.44

(Actual Garnishment amount 125)

Our calculation of the Protected Pay is $15.50 X 96 hours = $1488
