Can we control the display sequence of Buyer LOV?

We would like to have control over the display sequence of Buyer LOV.

Content (required):

Our client is Japanese and uses kanji (non-alphabet) for some of their buyer's names. When Buyer is displayed in LOV on UIs such as Process Requisitions, the sequence seems starting from alphabetical order in capital, then in lower case, and then kanji. Is there any way to change this sequence?
