Is there a way to allow for more than 500 Job Function LOV items so we don't get an error?

Summary:

We have over 500 items in our Job Function LOV. I recognize that Oracle places a 500 item limit to protect system responsiveness, etc. But is there anyway to remove this cap so we can use our full list AND not get the Warning message below? When we click on the Job Function drop-down, our list stops at the "Ps" because that is where we cross over the 500 row limit.
