Terminated Employees are showing in Calculate Payroll

Hi

When we run payroll the count of employees are showing which is included terminated employees also ,no elements are processing for the terminated employee , even though it is showing , We made the terminated Employee Assignment as Inactive-No payroll still we don't have any luck , Can any one please advise the reason
