Can you have more than one Task Assigned for Performer template enabled?

We would like to use two different "Task Assigned for Performer" templates.

When testing in our test environment it only works if just one template is enabled. In our production environment we have multiple templates enabled and we know the correct email template is going out. How can we confirm this will happen in production if we add these new templates?
