How to restrict user from seeing journal of others

Summary:

We want user should only see journal created by them and no other journal

Content (please ensure you mask any confidential information):

We have created a custom role which gives user to create journal via ADFDI . Other than that user cannot update / create or delete journal.

However we want user to have ability to upload attachment to journal.

What are possible solutions?

One we thought was restrict user to see their own journal and give them edit option. Please let me know if we already have solution in place
